Cats Toilet Training
Training a cat to use the toilet has been a concept that has been around for decades. It has gained in popularity over the past few years. When you are offering your cats toilet training, you should do this slowly. Gradually work your cat into the idea. Do not simply throw your cat on to the toilet and expect them to do their business. This will not work and instead will traumatize your cat. It will take slow steps and patience to get your cat ready to go to the bathroom in the toilet.
You will want to purchase a cat toilet seat in order to train your cat. This will help your cat to get used to using the toilet. You will not want to use this tool right away. Your cat will not be used to it and may start using the bathroom in areas of the house that you do not want them to. They may start going under a bed or in a corner if they are not comfortable enough to use the cat toilet seat.
You want to gradually work your cat up to the point where they will be able to use the toilet. You will not be able to push your cat into doing anything they are not ready to do. You can start by putting the litter box in the bathroom where your cat will be doing its business. You can also place the cat toilet seat in position and introduce your cat to it.
This is the most important step when offering your cats toilet training. When your cat has become used to using the cat toilet seat, you will want to completely remove the litter box. This will force your cats into using the cat toilet seat only.
